What thoughts have you been giving time to lately - I think is one of the most important questions to ask ourselves. Time and time again (yes I keep making time puns) I notice I get back into some not so helpful thought patterns. 

The first step is to really try to listen and pay attention to your thoughts. When you recognise these unhelpful and destructive words acknowledge them but then REPLACE them with words of encouragement. Sometimes we have to be our own coach. We’ve got to look out for ourselves 

How damaging it can be when people say awful things to bring us down in life, but I don’t think we ever realise how harmful it is when we do it to ourselves. It can become so natural, just like clock work. 

So take some time out of your busy life to focus on you. Take your watch to check the time, and leave your phone behind. Stay present and aware of your thoughts. And when it all feels too much - one of the quotes that helps me get by is - All in good time ️

Wooden Wrist Watch

This is my current set up :)

As I shared with you in my last post - Part One of this series (here :)) I  recently realised that I did not use even half of my make up as I stashed it away in cases, draws and different rooms. So I decided to share how I managed this problem and re-organised my make up system.



I started the process by shopping my stash and going through everything! I threw out what was old and gave away what I no longer wanted.  I also created a new system that allows me to get the most use out of my make up - Also I have included my fave products from each section :)

Part One focused on lip products, eyeliners/mascaras and face products. This post, Part 2, will include foundations, eyeshaows and brushes.

As I have acne-prone skin I don't wear a liquid foundation on a daily basis, so the two powders I use are the Clinique Almost Powder Make up in 03 and the Rimmel Stay Matte powder on 06. The Clinique powder is my base and is the perfect colour match for my skin! It is also great because it isn't exactly a loose powder which means it provides more coverage. I use this compact in conjunction with the Rimmel powder to make the look last longer and stay matte.

However, on special occasions I use the Clinique Super Primer for Colour Correction (review of this product here: http://beautybalmer.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/review-clinique-superprimer-for-colour.html ), the Clinique Stay-Matte, Oil Free Foundation and the Estee Lauder Concealer in Light Medium. I love this combination and all these products work fantastically with my oily skin  :)

I have lots of eyeshadows and couldn't show them all, so I thought I'd share just some of my favourites, and I have also included a blush/bronzer combo too :P From left to right: Laura Mercier Pink Bronze Bronzing Duo, Laura Mercier eyeshaodow trio - cant find the name :(, Essence Quattro in Over the Taupe, Chi Chi Nudes Palette, Estee Lauder Sensational effects Eyeshadow ( the four colours are: Diligree, Wif, Couture, Fashion Show) and the Australis Paparazi Perfect in A-lister Sista. I love all these products :) they are gorgeous!

Storage Tip: Here is my draw where I keep extra lipsticks (holder from Priceline), my most loved palettes (the smaller ones go in the pink and yellow boxes - I don't know where I got them) and I keep samples/foundations mainly in the white tin at the back from the Reject Shop.

Lastly, brushes! I have a few roll up sets but I keep my most used and loved brushes in this holder from Daiso.

My fave brushes are: Real Techniques Buffing Brush (I use for liquid foundation) and the Stippling Brush (I use for blush), Australis brushes in - Mineral Eyeshadow contouring Brush and Eyeshadow Brush.

This is my current bathroom set up :)

I'm doing this make up collection/organisation in two instalments. This post focuses on lip products, eyeliners/mascaras and face products. Part 2, will include foundations, eyeshaows and brushes.





On the far right, I keep my lip glosses and current mascaras/eye pencils. I must admit I'm not the biggest fan of lip-gloss and I have recently chucked out a few, but I still have some favourites :P - NYX Buttergloss in Natural and Rimmel Apocolips in Nova. These two are gorgeous shades of  pink, that aren't too bright and are perfect for everyday or with a smokey eye. I also have a collection of random eyeliners and mascaras but my all time fave mascara is hands down Maybelline  the Falsies. I tried this mascara after having seen Tanya Burr talking about how much she loves it, and I totally agree - it provides great volume, length and really opens up the eyes to make them appear bigger. The eyeliner I have chosen is Revlon Colourstay pencil, I really like this eyeliner especially on lazy make up days, its super soft and easy to use!

The glass jar I store my lipglosses in is from The Reject Shop ($6) and the jar I store my eyeliners was just an old jam jar.





My favourite face staples are definitely La Roche Posay: Effaclar Face Wash, Clinique Anti-Blemish Mask and Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser in Sensitive. These are part of my everyday lifestyle and are perfect for my oiler blemish prone skin!

My two favourite and absolute staple lipsticks: Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie and YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 8. They both have a nice shine and are super moisturising!

Some other random faves from this section are: Australis Crème Colour for Cheeks and Lips in Flirtatious Pink, NYX Matte Finishing Spray, Australis Powder Eyeliner in Smoke and Tea Tree Oil. I got this Australis pot in a massive haul from Ozsale (I did a post on it here: http://beautybalmer.blogspot.com.au/2013/11/australis-haul.html) it is a beautiful peachy nude colour and a great multi purpose product, however, it is slightly drying on the lips. The NYX spray is my life line I literally wear it everyday because it makes my make up appear less powdery and more natural. The Australis eyeliner is so nice! Lastly, the tea tree oil is good for my skin as it controls the natural oils. That's all for Part One of my Make Up organisation/collection.
