These five products are my stand bys, my tried and true classics that I use regularly in my skincare routine. Some I've been using for years and some I have only discovered recently, but I personally highly recommend all of them.
LA ROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR FOAMING GEL: PURIFYING FOAMING GEL
I have combination skin prone to break outs however I find this face wash to be the perfect balance for me. My skin always feels properly cleansed (no oliy residue) and clean after a wash whilst also treating the delicate drier patches on my skin kindly. It claims to tighten pores and purify skin with a Ph level of 5.5, and I 100% agree it delivers on it promises.
CLINique Anti blemish solutions clarifying lotion
Personally I find this lotion feels more like a toner. I prefer the lighter feel of the product, as my skin properly absorbs it. The lotion reduces oil and helps control my break outs. I use it after washing my face at night, but sometimes apply it in the morning before applying moisturiser and make up. It is also suited for all skin types, which is a major plus. I have found it to be a fast acting product as well, showing results within a few uses.
Neutrogena oil free MOISTURISER: Sensitive skin
I am a very fussy person when it comes to moisturisers, I cannot stand moisturisers that do not absorb, rejuvenate and properly hydrate my skin - this product certainly does all the right things! There are other types in the oil free range by Neutrogena: Combination and SPF 15, however I have found they did not suit my skin type. The Sensitive skin moisturiser is very gentle and definitely not greasy like the combination one in this range.
Garnier Pure active miclellar water all in one
A more recent addition to my nightly routine is the Garnier Micellar Water. I had seen Micellar waters advertised everywhere and figured I'd give it a go - and I fell in love. I use it to remove make up before washing it with the La Roche Posay cleanser and since using it I have found my skin has cleared up significantly thanks to the pre-cleanse.
Thursday Plantation tea tree oil
Not your average skincare essential however I find tea tree oil great for drying out and healing spots, especially the larger ones. It can be drying on the skin depending how you use it but I find it the benefits greater then a little dry skin.

Yeah it can be drying, but if you apply it just on spots and moisturise well you should be all set :)
